The three villages of Fenin, Vilars and
Saules, in the Val de Ruz lie about a
kilometer apart on a quiet country road about
10 kilometers North-East of Neuchatel.
In 1865 the three communities merged and are
now known collectively as "Fenin-Vilars-Saules".
The administrative building is in the centre of the
3 Villages at Vilars. On the flag of
Fenin-Vilars-Saules there is a black grill on
white (Fenin), a green fir-tree on red (Vilars),
and two white adzes (in french "doloires")
with black handles on yellow (Saules).
